Apple’s HTML5 Overview
To put it simply, it is quite amazing what can be done with pure HTML, no plugins, no Flash.
The last two demos really hit me. It used to be that Apple had to do that with Quicktime embedded and now it can be done with pure HTML. I always found it odd that Apple stopped Quicktime’s advanced features, and now it makes sense.
The joys of de-branding my phone
At Starbucks, if you have a Starbucks gift card you can sign up to get some free wifi access. However, to activate your account, you have to click a link in an email, but that can’t be done until you are logged into the wifi and surfing the net. This is perplexing, but easy to get around when you have an de-branded phone that can tether even when you really shouldn’t because you’re not paying for the plan to do so.
Mercedes SLR. Oops, I forgot to mention, its a McLaren Mercedes SLR. Who knew one name could make such a difference?
Audi R8 V10. A lot smaller than I thought it would be, still every bit as awesome.
